On this page you will find the frequently asked questions. This way we will never have to answer any questions by mail. And that is good, since then we can keep this website freely available. And then everybody is happy, right?

Why do you guys do this?

Well, this website was started as a joke, since one of us needed an online wishlist. But, since other websites cost money or are linked to a single store, we needed to program it for ourselves. And well, sharing makes everybody happy. So we placed an advertizing bar to cut the costs and putted it freely available on the web. That's why.


What can I put on my wishlist?

Everything! You are not limited to a single store or brand and you can put anything on it. Some stores offer a wishlist service, but then you are limited to that store, but we didn't want to be limited. If you wish, you can add the storename to the present and create a weblink to that present, but you are not obligated to do so.


Is it really free?

Yep.


Huh? Two passwords?

Yep. And it is not intended to make it more difficult. No, it's made to make your life easier. With your own "personal" password, you can alter your profile and alter your wishlist. With the "public" password, your guests can strike through the presents that they will buy for you. That's the difference. So therefore, tell your guests your "public" password (and not your "personal" password).


How long will my wishlist be online?

For ever and ever! Unless you wish to alter or delete it. Or until we stop offering the service, since the costs of the website are to high or something. But that will not happen soon, we guess.


What will you do with my email adress and the other privacy sensitive data?

Nothing. Unless you want us to do so. During the creation of your wishlist, we ask you if you want to get mail from us or from our partners. At this moment, we have nothing to tell you and we have got no partners; so not a lot of things to mail you about. But as soon for example x-mas is comming up, we will send you a reminder mail, reminding you of our service. Also we'll send you a conformation mail, when you sign up, this in order to test your email adress.

We will not sell the email adresses to other parties. We hate it when this happens to ourselves, so we will not do this to others. Never. Besides this, your email adress cannot be found on your personalized wishlist.


Can I see who bought which present?

Hahaha, you wish! No, you cannot see this info. We believe that getting a gift should always remain a suprise. What else is the purpose of wrapping paper?

Your guests are asked for their email adress as soon as they buy a present. We do this, so that these guests can "undo" their strike through, should they not have succeeded in buying the present. By undoing the strike through, somebody else can buy this present for you. As soon as somebody wants to undo the strike through, we ask their email. We check these two email adresses to test if they are the same. If this is the case, the present becomes available for buying again.
